Gad’s Reach is a six acre smallholding, with four paddocks of grassland and edged by wooded shaws. It is located just outside the village of Westfield, within the mid reaches of the lovely Brede valley, around five miles from Hastings and Battle.
We are looking for people interested in setting up a small market-garden based upon the approach developed by La Ferm du Bec Hellouin in Normandy. Other plots are also open for a variety of uses and the appropriate land-share agreements are available.
You should have an interest in regenerative horticulture, natural farming, agro-forestry, permaculture, biodynamics or similar environmentally sensitive approaches.
Experience of course is useful. But more important still is your imagination, enthusiasm and ecological commitment. We welcome involvement from growers, craft workers and other creative folk.
